Fostering a closer connection with our lands and waters.
Carnivore Coexistence
Whether you are a livestock farmer or a land owner looking at developing, tracking can help us better understand and coexist with our wild neighbors. I have used my tracking skills to support livestock farmers in northern Wisconsin to troubleshoot how to keep their livestock from coming into conflict with wild carnivores. I have used homemade or cheap deterrents like fladry (flagging that deters canines), scarecrows, radios, and lights to reduce carnivore presence around livestock. I can also offer land assessments via tracking that can help inform environmentally minded decisions by land owners when it comes to development.
Carnivore Coexistence Consultations
I understand that regenerative, small farmers face unique socioeconomic issues and therefore I am happy to arrange payment plans, help you look for a sponsor, or trade my consultation for farm products such as meat, eggs, and dairy.
